AH! Another AHMAZING read from Tijan!! I really enjoyed reading A Whole New Crowd for a multitude of reasons. It was well-paced and had everything I needed, from the annoying characters, to the confusing ones, to the heart-breaking ones. From the frustrating moments to the OHMYGOSH ones. I found a book boyfriend in Tray *sigh*
and the crazy girl I love in Taryn.
They both made me feel like HOW? AW!!! OMG!! YAAS!! ugh…Basically,
Honestly, I loved a lot about this books. First, the plot was well done. It had a lot of twists, but not overly so. The beginning was a bit slow, but I appreciated that because the beginning is the gateway to the rest of the book, and the background needed to be set. I really liked the double life of the book, as it swung from Taryn’s old life to her new one, and back again. I loved seeing all the different sides of every single character, and somehow, Tijan made it happen. INCREDIBLE. 🙂
Tray and Taryn were a great couple. AWNC wasn’t overly romantic. It was just right. It was the perfect mix of drama, action, and romance. I fell in love with not only the characters but the entirety of the books 🙂
I ENJOYED THE ENTIRE THING, which I can not say for many books.
As for the characters, my favorite character would probably have to be Jase. He’s so mysterious, and there’s so many layers to him that I’m just dying to find out more about him. Plus, he’s so dang hot. HEHE
Anyways, I would definitely recommend this book. To all those Tijan lovers, this is another one of her fantastic reads that you just can’t stop until you hit the very last page. And to those who have not yet discovered her, GO! 🙂
4 BUTTERFLIES FROM THIS GIRL!! 🙂 ❤
If you’re not convinced you should read this yet, here are some more reasons 😉
“She’s one of mine. She’s one of us.” He spread his arms out wide and raised his voice even louder. “We persevere. We’re the strong. We take on any circumstances and we still thrive. We’re going to keep thriving. Hell, we’re going to conquer. She’s got that rush in her and she won’t be satisfied with you. None of you. You just wait and see.” He looked down at me, his eyebrows lifted, as if seeing me for the first time. He fell back a step. Sweat was running down his face. He whispered to me, “I’ll wait for you, Taryn. I love you. You’re mine. No one else can take your place.”
Tears were rolling down my face. I ignored them.
Tijan started writing later in life, after she had already graduated college with a different direction in mind and a different degree under her belt. Hitting the brakes on that path, she taught herself how to write a good book and began posting at sites such as Fictionpress, along with Wattpad. After receiving such encouraging messages from readers, she self-published Fallen Crest High and has continued throughout the year. She continues to keep writing NA books!
