Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4)

SYNOPSIS

Best friends since they could walk. In love since the age of fourteen.
Complete strangers since this morning.
He’ll do anything to remember. She’ll do anything to forget.

My FEEEELINGS
AAAHHH!!!!!! I HONESTLY DON’T KNOW WHERE TO START.
So, the story.
Charlie and Silas are two people who woke up with no recollection of their past whatsoever. They have no idea what their worlds are built on. But all they know is that they woke up at the same time, in the same situation. At this point, I’m going to stop, because if I tell you anything else, it will be a spoiler. And *spoiler free zone* 😉
That said, I LOOOOVED THIS STORY. The plot twists. The feeeels. The rekindling friendships. Reading Charlie and Silas discovering little bits of themselves everyday made me fall in love with them. I felt their pain and confusion and happiness every single step of the way, and they had me on edge, like

Never Never was definitely a book I would read a million times over, and if you have read Don’t Look Back by Jennifer Armentrout, it had that mystery/suspense feel to it, which I absolutely loooved. It had everything I appreciate in a boy, girl, and book. The humor, puns, gorgeous boy, confident girl. But what I liked most about it was the way everything fell into place so perfectly.
The mystery in this book, in my opinion, was FLAWLESS. There were sooo many scenarios running through my head at any given moment, trying to guess what Silas and Charlie’s pasts were, but with every detail and every scene, I lost myself in their story a little more. This book told me nothing, and so much at the same time. One minute you think you know what’s going to happen and BAM! NOPE. There go your predictions.
And I cannot forget about the writing. Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher are goddesses, suffice to say. I can’t get over how brilliantly they put this story on paper. Like, please.

We’re branded. You and me. We are so in love, Charlie. You feeling it yet? Do I make your heart go pitter patter

The only thing that I felt was the story was too short, and the craziest part of the book was basically squished into the last chapter, but I kinda loved it like that because it made the suspense more potent. Anyways, I completely recommend reading this. It is definitely up there on my lists of breathtakingly suspenseful books. But BE WARNED. The cliffhanger is one that made me stare at my computer for a good 10 minutes, with a face like:

I’m gonna make you fall in love with me again.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4)

SYNOPSIS

Sometimes wrong can feel oh so right . . .

Jenna Lacombe needs complete control, whether it’s in the streets . . . or between the sheets. So when she sets out on a solo road trip to visit her family in New Orleans, she’s beyond annoyed that the infuriatingly sexy Jack Oliver wants to hitch a ride with her. Ever since they shared a wild night together last year, he’s been trying to strip away her defenses one by one. He claims he’s just coming along to keep her safe-but what’s not safe for her is prolonged exposure to the tattooed hottie.

Jack can’t get Jenna out from under his skin. She makes him feel alive again after his old life nearly destroyed him-and losing her is not an option. Now Jack’s troubles are catching up to him, and he’s forced to return to his hometown in Louisiana. But when his secrets put them both in harm’s way, Jenna will have to figure out how far she’s willing to let love in . . . and how much she already has.

My FEEEELINGS
So, Right Kind of Wrong!!!! 🙂 I really enjoyed this book because it was such an easy read! I zipped through it because every event that occurred drew me further into the book. The plot developed a lot as the book got into its middle and to the end, and I loved every moment of the reveals and twists. I really enjoyed it overall!!!
So, the main girl we have is JENNA! We were first introduced to Jenna in Best Kind of Broken when she’s seen as Pixie’s roommate, and now, we see her as the main. Jenna has a bunch of problems, her biggest one being about not being able to be in control of a situation. She has this plan for herself, and sometimes I got soooo frustrated with her for not just saying F you to the plan and skipping into happily ever after. But I understood why she did it. And even though sometimes she made me go like
Harry-Potter,
most of the time, I was grinning because of her sass and attitude, or just grinning because she was just such a supportive, strong, and kind person even when she was fighting herself and Jack.
As for JACK, our main guy, there was SO much that was going on. In the beginning, he seemed like the nice, alpha male types who just have success under their belt and good looks to go with it. But then, his issues get added on. And THEN we see him with his family. And by this point, I’m just like
Frustration
WHY CAN’T GUYS LIKE JACK BE REAL?!?!
So, basically he was hella fierce, and I enjoyed every second of his hotness, arrogance (heh.) and loving moments.
Right Kind of Wrong was a great read. I definitely enjoyed it, because I read it one sitting, and just wanted to go back and highlight the hell out of it 😉 This book is the third in the Finding Fate series, but it’s completely doable to read it as a standalone!!! 🙂 ❤

EXCERPT

His eyes dance as he watches my struggle. “What’s your plan here, Jenna? Haul me out of the car and leave me in the street?”

“Sounds good to me.”

“Well, that doesn’t sound friendly at all,” he says, flicking the lever to recline to seat a bit so he looks even more relaxed than before.

“I wasn’t trying to be friendly,” I grit out.

“Clearly.”

I try pulling him out again, to no avail. He’s giant and solid, and honestly, just touching him is turning me on.

I drop my hands and glower at him. “You can’t just tell me that you’re coming along on my road trip.”

He cocks his head. “Would you feel better if I asked?”

“Not especially.”

“Jenna.” He leans forward and his gaze bores through me, down into the deepest parts of my being. “Will you please let me join you on your trip to Louisiana?”

For a moment, I’m lost in his eyes, debating with myself. I don’t trust myself around Jack. Not at all. But I did spend half the night tossing in my sleep with nightmares about traveling alone so maybe having Jack tag along might not be so bad after all. Maybe.

Pulling back, I straighten my shoulders and relent, like usual when it comes to Jack.

“Fine,” I huff out as I stomp back to my side of the car in climb in. “But no talking,” I say, hoping I haven’t just made a huge mistake.

He grins and I turn away.

Surely I can manage to keep my panties on around Jack for a few days…right?

Synopsis

Amy has a secret: no one has ever held her hand. She doesn’t even know how to hug. Everybody thinks she’s brilliant, but that’s because school was all she had. Then she meets Dane, a golden-haired surfer whose easy charm and hot touch teach her what she longs to know.

Dane lives for the salty breeze and a sweet wave, because that’s all he has. He’s lived on the streets since he was fourteen. A drifter. Homeless. But Amy changes everything. Smart and accomplished, she’s everything he’s not. He wants to be the sort of man who deserves her.

Except that means facing down his past—and that past might very well swallow them both.

My Feelings!

How To Say Goodbye was a pure, heartwarming love story, and I really liked that about it! It was a book filled with its moments, but I think the only drawback for me was that it also had its really annoying moments. There were moments during the book where I just wanted to tell Dane and/or Amy GOD YOU TWO ARE PERFECTLY GOOD PEOPLE. YOU DESERVE EACH OTHER. DON’T PUSH. PULL.

LOL.Okay, sorry. 😉 Anyways, as for characters, they were pretty easily relatable. Both of them had not-so-pretty pasts, and both of them were allowing their pasts to haunt them. But for the first time, I felt the female lead was a lot stronger than the male lead. WHICH I TOTALLY LOVED. 😉 At the beginning, you begin to love Dane, and the fact that he slowly brings Amy out of her shell, and while she’s willing to come out and give him all she has. But, then I started to realized that he was taking a lot, and the moment anything of his past came up, he started to shut down. I was kinda mad that he wasn’t willing to do the same for Amy, and in a way, that made me dislike his character a little more. BUT, I did really enjoy Amy, because of her growth and constant willingness to step out of her comfort zone and put it all on the line. She is seriously one amazingly and innately good person, and I was immediately drawn to her and her warmth *sigh* She was so cute 🙂

And about the character backgrounds, I felt like there was a much deeper direction Amber Lin could have gone with the story, but I kind of regretted that she kept it a little too PG, and personally, there wasn’t enough angst to keep me with the story. The story was set a little too much around the main characters themselves, and I would have loved to get to know more about them through their relationships with other supporting characters, but I didn’t feel a lot of that happening. But FYI, whatever was going on between Amy and Dane, was fantastic because I was smiling every time they were together. They were one seriously perfect couple, when they were together. SIGH.

OKAY, so with everything, 3 BUTTERFLIES from me!
