Light meets dark. Secrets meet truth.
It’s been three years, twenty-five weeks, and five days since Isis Blake fell in love, and if she has it her way, it’ll stretch into infinity.
After a run-in with her mom’s ex-boyfriend, she scrabbles to remember what she’s lost to amnesia. Her ex-nemesis Jack falls deeper into a pit of despair, and his girlfriend Sophia does all she can to keep him to herself. But as Isis’ memories return, she finds it harder and harder to resist what she felt for Jack, and Jack finds it impossible to stay away from the only girl who’s ever melted the ice around his heart.
As the dark secrets surrounding Sophia emerge, Isis realizes Jack isn’t who she thought he was. He’s dangerous. But when Isis starts receiving terrifying emails from an anonymous source, that danger might be the only thing protecting her from something far more threatening.
Her past.

My Feelings!

I need my fix. Like right now. OMG. Savage Delight? SO DANG GOOD!!!! As the second book in the Lovely Vicious series, it seriously had a lot to live up to, and goshdarnit, it LIVED!!! I freaking loved this book.

If you haven’t read Lovely Vicious, GET ON IT then that should totally be your next stop, because I don’t feel like you can read Savage Delight without having experienced all the glories of Lovely Vicious. But to those of y’all who have read LV, SD was not really what I expected. IN THE BEST WAY! All those questions that I wanted answered were kind of answered in SD, but seriously, for every answer that I got, I was left with like a HUNDRED other questions!! I cannot express how many feels I got from this book. I didn’t know whether I should laugh or cry or BOTH. It was such a compelling, intriguing, mysterious, and loving story.

BUT there was one person without whom this book wouldn’t be whole: ISIS. She is the kind of girl I wish I was. She will crack you up, make you go what the heck, what just happened, and just in general make you do your #happydance 🙂

happy dance

I absolutely adored her quirky and completely AWESOME wit, and I loved her ability to just be herself no matter what. She thinks she’s totally mental, and in a way she is (in the best way possible of course), but I think in SD we realize that she is hiding from her past, and all that awesome wit is somewhat her defense mechanism, and the questions are STILL THERE. The questions about her past, present and future. Isis is probably one of my all-time favorite characters. She had an ability to make me connect with everything she said, even though at points I was like what just happened, but that’s what made me love her sooo much. She was soo weird and unique, like no  one I’ve ever really seen/met.

BUT there were some pretty serious surprises too!! For starters..SOPHIA? Not at ALL what I expected. The Sophia at the beginning was the one I really liked, and then it just got kinda crazy. Literally. Ok, no spoilers or anything, but I realize now why Jack had his hands so full. OH, speaking of, JACK JACK JACK 🙂 *sigh* give me a minute.

fan myself..hold on

Ok, I’m back 😉 SD was a better look at Jack. I think I understood him a lot better, especially after getting the truth of the Sophia situation (that’s what I’m calling this crazy now) 😉 But really? I miss him and Isis, in their element, arguing and making me laugh and snap my fingers in an “OH SNAP” fashion.

But, it’s okay, because Savage Delight honestly gave me everything I wanted (except all my answers lol) I was given all my favorite characters, I met a new few, and then I was given some serious surprises. This wonderful, wonderful book gave me the feels. It gave me laughter, surprise, tears, my what-the-heck face, and a whole lot of YES THAT’S HOW YOU DO IT. 🙂 I love this story’s plot and characters, because they’re completely engaging and always keep me guessing, and it’s the most wonderful feeling in the world!!

There better be a third novel in this series, BECAUSE IM DYING HERE!!! 🙂 I need my Isis-Jack fix. I need my closure, but mixed feelings, because I seriously never want this series to end. Savage Delight was just another chapter of an AMAAZING series, and I cannot wait to feel and laugh and experience everything else Isis, Jack, and everyone else are gonna give me.

Seventeen-year-old Isis Blake hasn’t fallen in love in three years, nine weeks, and five days, and after what happened last time, she intends to keep it that way. Since then she’s lost eighty-five pounds, gotten four streaks of purple in her hair, and moved to the Buttcrack-of-Nowhere Ohio to help her mom escape a bad relationship.
All the girls in her new school want one thing – Jack Hunter, the Ice Prince of East Summit High. Hot as an Armani ad, smart enough to get into Yale, and colder than the Arctic, Jack Hunter’s never gone out with anyone. Sure, people have seen him downtown with beautiful women, but he’s never given high school girls the time of day. Until Isis punches him in the face.
Jack’s met his match. Suddenly everything is a game.
The goal: Make the other beg for mercy.
The game board: East Summit High.
The reward: Something neither of them expected.
