Trent Astor is many things—orphan, runaway, musician. But what’s most extraordinary about Trent is that he’s a time traveler. His supernatural gift sends him on missions to the past to save unsuspecting victims from harm. However, when he fails to save the life of a young girl, his life changes in ways he could never have dreamed.

At eleven-years-old, Cassie Moore suffered through a horrific shooting. Tragically scarred from the ordeal, the once promising tennis prodigy was forced to throw away all hope of a future in tennis. Now, as she begins her senior year of high school, the past continues to haunt her. She struggles to find herself, her self-esteem at an all time low. If only she could resolve the past, she might be able to move on with her life. She never imagined that could be possible until she meets the gorgeous new student in her PE class.

My Feelings

Let me start off by saying that I haven’t read many time travel novels recently, or at all for that matter, but if they’re all like Rematch, GIVE ME ALL OF THEM!!! 🙂 Rematch was an absolutely fantastic read. It kept my attention the ENTIRE time and I was rooting for Trent and Cassie to the point where I was giggling into my phone every time they were together. *grins* The entire premise was really new to me, so obviously, I LOVED IT. But it wasn’t just the premise..It was the characters, the story, the support system. Everything made this book whole, so thank you, Janine Caldwell for such a well-written and engaging story!

The story is one that is basically about a girl whose tennis dreams are shattered after she gets shot, and who has to live with the aftermath for the rest of her life. BUT, that summary does Cassie, aka the girl with the shattered dreams, no justice whatsoever! This girl was captivating. Of course, she was a little childish, and still trying to get over not being able to play tennis, and be daddy’s little girl anymore, but that’s what made the story REAL. It made Cassie relatable, and it really struck a chord with me, because she was such a beautiful, caring, innately kind character who put her heart out there to *ahem ahem* TRENT.

YES jennette mcurdy

^HAHA. First off, YES PLEASE. hehe. Trent was pretty darn great. He was everything you could hope for in a hero. There was some serious angst, conflict, hiding away, but eventually he has to let everything out, and MAN was that one great explosion. I loved every second of his point of views in the book, because a lot of the time, I got to see the time travel and him traveling into the past, which I thought was PRETTY cool, and of course, his emotions were a total roller coaster. ( always a good thing of course 😉 )

Now, for the story itself, IT WAS GREAT. JUST GREAT! 🙂 I was flipping through the pages as fast as I possibly could because I was just aching to know what happens next. The beginning of the story, as expected, was a little slower than the rest of the book just because the setting was being painted and backgrounds were being established, but by the last half to quarter of the book, I was in serious need a fan. WHEW! That was some intense plotting. ALSO, this book was pretty fast-paced, which I thought was amazing. Amazing because it was SO cute (Trent+Cassie=OVERLOAD) and romantic, but at the same time it contained such great action. It was THE perfect combination! Props to Ms. Caldwell, again 🙂

The story really gave me hope. It’s one of those where you just can’t help but believe in fate and destiny, and have I mentioned HOW MUCH I LOVE COINCIDENCES?!? Well, yeah…they’re pretty awesome..I mean Trent going to the same school as Cassie; the same P.E. class; them falling for each other. *sigh* absolutely unbelievable. This book had me smiling and frowning and fawning all the way through! 🙂

Man, this was one heck of journey. From the main characters to supporting characters,  I got to experience SO many different things, and it kept me on edge until the very last page, which made my heart soar btw!! (sorry no spoilers here! 🙂 ) It was so different from what I usually read, but I’m so glad I picked Rematch up! definitely a series to watch out for!

Series: Breathe (#2)
Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance

Emily Anderson and Reed Alexander are living with pasts they cannot escape.

Emily moved to New York City seeking a fresh start, intending to focus on her career and to keep a low profile.

Reed returns home to New York City after two years, haunted by the same things that pushed him away years ago.

When Reed and Emily meet, their connection is undeniable, but Emily keeps her feelings hidden. Falling in love is the last thing on her mind and she knows the danger it may bring not only to her, but to Reed as well. Reed isn’t as reluctant, but he knows that the demons he’s fighting could destroy Emily.

The harder they try to resist one another, the deeper they fall in love, and the more complicated their lives become.

In the end, they realize that truly loving someone may mean letting them go… and that’s the hardest part.

“Here, take this. We don’t have much time.” Mike’s frantic voice was loud in my ear. Still dazed, I glanced up at him and saw he was holding an envelope out for me to take. My eyes stared at the envelope, but I couldn’t make myself reach out for it.

“Emily.” Mike’s voice was soft but firm. “I know this is a lot to take in, but I need you to concentrate. Take the envelope.” He enunciated the last few words slowly, carefully.

My hands shook as I reached out for it. “I’m not sure I can do this, Mike.” I finally found my voice. “This is crazy. I—I don’t know where to go.” Once I had the envelope in my grasp, it felt like it weighed a hundred pounds.

“You can do this. This life you’ve been living, this isn’t a life for you. Anywhere is better than here.”

I felt the darkness closing in around me. I could feel my throat getting tighter. My breaths were short and quick. If I didn’t calm myself down, I was going to have a full-fledged panic attack. My mind was still trying to process what was happening.

The person I trusted most in the world had woken me up in the middle of the night, just thirty minutes ago, telling me to get dressed and be quiet. I didn’t question Mike then. I didn’t question him when he led me out of the penthouse suite, or when we he led me down the hall to the back stairwell and came out at the back of the casino. I still didn’t question him when I saw his car parked at the end of the dark alley, or when we pulled away from the building without an explanation of any kind. It wasn’t until we pulled onto the highway and the bright lights of the Vegas strip were behind us that I finally asked what was going on.

“You’re getting out of here, Emily. You’re going to get as far away from here as possible,” he’d told me.

It was only then that it hit me. He was helping me escape. He was helping me get away from Jake. I was too stunned to say anything then, and I was too afraid to say anything now.

“Emily, are you listening to me? We don’t have much time.” Mike’s voice was louder now, more demanding. I blinked away my thoughts and looked up at him. He stood a good foot and a half taller than me, his gray hair receding almost to the point of baldness. He was old enough to be my father, and truth be told, he was the closest thing I’d ever had to one.

As I stood here now, I felt like a scared little girl—not sure what to do, looking up at him for the answers.

“The bus should take you to the main station downtown. From there, you choose where to go. You choose how to live your life.” He frowned and then his face twisted into something else entirely—tortured and sad. He and I both knew this was probably the last time we’d ever see each other.

“There’s a passport, social security card, and twenty thousand dollars in the envelope. It should be enough for you to get on your feet and start a new life, one far away from here.” His voice cracked on the last couple words. He cleared his throat, trying to cover up his weakness.

Release Date: October 29th, 2013

Genre: Contemporary Romance

PURCHASE: Amazon, Kindle, Barnes and Noble

A bombshell bookworm. A chronic Casanova. And a lesson in chemistry too scandalous for school.

When Hanna Bergstrom receives a lecture from her overprotective brother about neglecting her social life and burying herself in grad school, she’s determined to tackle his implied assignment: get out, make friends, start dating. And who better to turn her into the sultry siren every man wants than her brother’s gorgeous best friend, Will Sumner, venture capitalist and unapologetic playboy?

Will takes risks for a living, but he’s skeptical about this challenge of Hanna’s…until the wild night his innocently seductive pupil tempts him into bed- and teaches him a thing or two about being with a woman he can’t forget. Now that Hanna’s discovered the power of her own sex appeal, it’s up to Will to prove he’s the only man she’ll ever need.

myFeelings   🙂

H.O.L.Y S.H.I.T. I absolutely ADORED this book!!!!! Every second I was reading I was totally rooting for the two to just bring it home and get it together..and man, did they ever 🙂 It was definitely my favorite in the series!!! I mean, don’t get me wrong..I loved Bennett, Chloe, Max, and Stella!! BUT WILL AND HANNA WERE JUST FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC 😉

Like the blurb says, the story starts off with Hanna, a lonely-ish, being lectured by her brother to basically get a life, and to call his totally gorgeous and HOT HOT HOT best friend from high school for help. UM, best.start.ever. There was nothing that could go wrong with this scenario, unless Hanna didn’t call Will, which SHE TOTALLY DID *grins* And, so the story begins with this beautiful story and their equally beautiful story.

First things first, I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED Hanna!!!!! OMG. She was like a mix of blunt/sexy Chloe from Beautiful Bastard and sweet/beautiful Sara from Beautiful Stranger, which was probably why I liked her so much. She was the heroine that completed the series for me, taking the best of both of the previous two, and adding some serious humor into the mix 😀 Hanna was nothing like I expected her to be. I expected her to be the typical bookish, shy, naive girl who probably doesn’t have much experience (because thats probably what her brother was trying to get her to do). but I was soooooo wrong!! She was an amazing woman. She was so honest and sometimes even crass, and every time she opened her mouth, it was so unexpected, and most of the time DARN FUNNY, that I was laughing out loud, with no shame. YEP. she was a pretty good one.

AND best thing? She totally did it for Will. This book completely won me over within the first few chapters. The first time Hanna and Will talked to each other, ( Ziggy btw is such a cute nickname 😉 ) I KNEW that this was gonna be one smoking book. WILL, oh dear sweet god Will…He was one hot piece of work. Yeah..totally deserving of the “beautiful player” title, but MAN, with Hanna, he was just the perfect man! He completely eased her into “relationships” *giggles* and DAMN, was he good at everything he did. And therefore, their time in bed was well spent. That was some HOT stuff. 🙂 As in, this was me:

HEHE. yeeep. Will was pretty amazeballs.

For me, personally though, it was his down-to-earth and accepting nature. Hanna was not a normal one. She was adorably funny, unique, and quite honestly, not for every man, but those two completed each other perfectly! Will was totally open to Hanna’s unfiltered mouth, and she posed the perfect challenged to the guy who once thought he had seen every kind of girl.

But whatever my comfort with the opposite sex, it didn’t seem seem to help me at all with Hanna. She felt like a separate creature, a separate species. She threw all my experience out the window

SEE? THEY WERE MEANT FOR EACH OTHER. Will, to be the man that would introduce Hanna to the world of love and fun, and Hanna, to be the woman to teach Will about that same world, and posing the challenges and fears he’d never had to fear before.

Speaking of that unfiltered mouth of Hanna’s, though…one word: HILARIOUS.

‘Get over your man-angst, Will. We had sex.  You’re supposed to do this kind of thing better than anyone. I’m, not asking for a key to your apartment….I’m not asking for a repeat, you egomaniacal jerk.’

And with that, she hung up.

BAM. HAHA. SHE WAS PURE GENIUS. This is probably one of the only times that I can’t decide who I’m in love with more, the girl or the guy. Hanna was seriously badasss!!

Well, basically this book was SOOOO DARN GOOD!!!! 🙂 I loved every part of it, from Hanna and Will’s teaching/friends stage to Chloe and Bennett and the rest of the gang, to the cutest ending these two could have had!

5/5, because let’s be serious. That was some badass girl and some fiiine boy right there 😉

Virgin. Sex addict. Daredevil. Alcoholic. Smartass … Jackass. Her five friends are about to be filmed. Reality TV, be prepared.

After accepting help from a producer, Rose agrees to have her life filmed for a reality television show. The Hollywood exec is her last chance to revive her struggling fashion line, and boundaries begin to blur as she’s forced to make nice with a man who always has his way.

Twenty-four-year-old Connor Cobalt is a guy who bulldozes weak men. He’s confident, smart-as-hell and lives with his equally ambitious girlfriend, Rose Calloway. Connor has to find a way to protect Rose without ruining the show. Or else the producer will get what Connor has always wanted—Rose’s virginity.

myFeelings   🙂

HOLY FUDGEBUCKETS. I FUCKING LOVED THIS BOOK. As in, I am insane right now. As in I am in need of a second read. and a third. and a fourth. IT WAS THAT MIND-BLOWING. There is no doing this book justice. There are absolutely no words that can convey how amazing and heartfelt and SO DAMN REAL this book was. Every single second, I was in agony. I was scared of it ending; I was scared/excited/agonized/so damn happy for every upcoming moment. I was just in awe. *sigh* Such a beautiful story, and like I said, there are absolutely no words in this world that can describe how much this book hit me, and made me FEEL. but, here it goes!

First off, the story’s premise was like nothing I’ve ever read about before. It was completely new and unique, and I COULD NOT WAIT. It starts off from the end of Addicted for Now, which of course already introduced us to Rose and Connor. And we already know that they’re both sexy as hell and seriously badass, but no without their baggage, and in my opinion, a little hearless. SO, now, Rose, is trying to bring her business, Calloway Couture back up the market, after it took a hit after a rough past year. and what does she do? She signs her family for a freaking REALITY TV SHOW for publicity. At that point, I was just like, HELL TO THE YES. Drama. Romance. Racing emotions. I’m so ready. But, really, I wasn’t. I was mindblown every step of the way. There was really no predicting anything that was about to happen. And, how amazing is that? I’ve always been able to kind of predict an ending or an upcoming twist, but with Kiss the Sky? NUH UH. I was shocked by every turn of the page, and either jumping up and down, and screaming YOU GO (insert character here)!!!! or screaming GO TO HELL SCOTT!! Yeup. It was just that gooooood.

So, back to Rose. With this TV show, she has the have a producer. Guys, meet asshole producer Scott. Asshole producer Scott, meet the world. UGH. Scott made a large part of the book, but every time he entered the room, hatred rose, beginning from page one. The authors created an INCREDIBLE antagonist in Scott. BUT no damn antagonist was going to get in the way of that smoking hot, perfect-for-each-other couple. NOPE. Connor Cobalt+ Rose Calloway = no room for others .

I know I should have lowered my standards-dated a guy who rides around on his skateboard with his shirt inside-out. I grimace. Just kidding. I’ll take my suit-and-tie boyfriend. I’ll take the high IQ and the rapid-fire banter. I just hope Scott’s eagerness to unsettle him won’t disrupt the reality show.

But if I know anything it’s this”

My boyfriend loves winning.

And he hates to lose even more.

And with that I give you the reason why Scott was just an asshole who just gets his ass handed to him. Kind of. Maybe. Maybe not. (NO SPOILER ZONE 😉 ) ANYWAYS. Now, from stupid producer Scott, who just wanted to complicate everyone’s life, to ass-kicking Conner Cobalt. Aka the boyfriend. Aka my dream boy. Aka the man who makes any woman swoon. ohmygoodness. Where to start. Connor is the honest one. The blunt one. Yet, he’s the fixer. The overachiever. The one who goes to any lengths to fulfill his dreams, and protect the ones he loves. and DOES HE EVER.

Connor Cobalt is one piece of work, all in the good way, of course. But the part of this book that made it the most endearing to me was that his growth, and the fact that he becomes a LOVING person, with an actual, beating, caring heart. In the Addicted series, he was the one who did what it took to get things done. No-nonsense type of guy. But, in this one, Krista and Becca showed us every single raw emotion behind the decisions he’s made. The agony. The happiness. Everything. This book took me through Connor’s emotions behind the scenes, unlike the Addicted series, which only showed the results of his actions. AND DAMN. That was one tummy-dropping rollercoaster. Every single scene of him, I was going:

this is the best emma stone

Oh dear lord. I’m really never get over him

THEN, there’s Rose. She’s the one who belongs to Connor. Why? SO MANY DANG REASONS. but really, it’s because he not only understands her, but he poses a challenge to her every single step of their relationship, and again, that relationship, those challenges, and the SMOKIN chemistry between the two of them made the book come alive. I’m still reeling. *grins* Rose, however, is such a badass. it’s ridiculous. Every time she opened her mouth, she was on a roll, whether it be against Scott, or in favor of Lily or Connor, she was ON A ROLL. She really didn’t care about what others thought of her. She had her goals. Her dreams, and a family who she loved, and that’s all that mattered. Basically, she is the best female character EVER.

Ok, yeah. There is no talking about this book without talking about the heart-throbbing chemistry between Rose and Connor. IT FAN-FLIPPIN-TASTIC. I could NOT get enough of those two. The thing I loved most about their relationship was their gushing hearts. They opened up to each other, taking each step with love and jaw-dropping moments of affection. My previous thoughts of them from the Addicted series were that they were the most heartless ones out the group. But by the end of Kiss the Sky, I was BALLING. I was overrun by tears. I could not handle the growth I saw in Rose’s ability to accept love, and in Connor’s ability to give it. To believe that he could love Rose.

You’re not a pit stop. You’re my finish line. There’s no one after you. I kiss her powerfully, my tongue parting her lips…..I want you for eternity, not for a brief moment in time.

LIKE, who can reject THAT?! No one. Period. Rose and Connor were the perfect pair. Their HILARIOUS banter made me laugh every time, but more importantly, their unconditional support for each other made them better people, and brought out the best in both of them. AND THAT was what made the book and their story truly BEAUTIFUL. Im still in tears. I mean:

AND SUPPORT SYSTEM STRIKES AGAIN. Lily and Lo, of course, adorable and HOT. The way they stayed strong for each other through the whole TV show and the aftermath still awes me, and this book was no different. BUT, for me, it was totally RYKE AND DAISY. OMG. RYKE in Kiss the Sky= 1012091230943X RYKE in the Addicted Series. There was so much tension in the air betweeen those two, and their story combined with Connor and Rose, omg. that’s all i’m going to say. BUT HONESTLY, I don’t know how Krista and Becca Ritchie created such unique, lovable, and badass characters. They all contributed to the book in soooo many ways, and it would not be the same without any one of them. The minor relationships added to that of Connor and Rose, and every character, from Lo to Ryke to Scott, helped Connor and Rose blossom as a couple, and that teamwork was brilliant.

This book was  emotional rollercoaster, but I wouldn’t change a second of it. In fact, I plan on experiencing it OVER and OVER. It is a MUST READ. Connor and Rose are such beautiful people, as are all the people around them, and this story was just so beautiful. *wipes away a tear* Thank you so much for bringing Connor and Rose into my life. Now I have the image of the perfect life. 🙂 This book was beyond everything I expected, and on a scale of 1 to 10, it was 49583024713923.

SO, that said, 6 FREAKING BUTTERFLIES to Kiss the Sky, even though it definitely deserves more 😉

MY Feelings🙂

EEEEPPP!!! THIS BOOK WAS BEAUTIFUL. I first looked it up because it was on so many favorites & hot-boyfriends shelves, so how could I resist, right?! WELL, best. decision. ever. I picked up On Dublin Street and I COULD NOT put it down. I LOVED LOVED LOVED every second of it. ❤

The story starts off with Jocelyn, aka Joss, looking for a roommate, but before she gets to her new-to-be apartment, she meets this HOT, and of course, OBNOXIOUS guy (Braden) who shares a taxi with her….YES. the first time I saw these two together, I was ready. I settled into my pillows because I KNEW it was going to be an amazing read, and boy, was I RIGHT.

Joss and Braden were truly an amazing couple. Yeah, they both had their issues, and of course, they both had their secrets, but the fact was, the only people who they could share their pains with were each other!! and THAT was what made it such a beautiful story. There were parts of the story where I was screaming at Joss, because I mean, no one, i mean NO ONE, should ever let go of someone as amazing as Braden. From the beginning, Braden was definitely the one 😉 Every single time he entered the room, everything heated up. HE WAS JUST THAT HOT. *swoooooon* His overprotectiveness, bluntness, and loving nature hooked me in from the start, and thank GOD for that wonderful, wonderful man.

And Joss was beautiful as well. I think the part about her that I liked/hated most was her insecurities. they made me love her, because it really showcased her vulnerable side, and honestly, I couldn’t help but FEEL for Joss every.single.time. She was dealt a harsh hand, but that was something that did shape her, and make her the beautiful, strong woman she was. BUT THEN (ugh) she really pushed her insecurities up as a wall…yup..that was the moment that kind of made me hate her…and yes, I MAY have been yelling and smacking a bit, but then I remembered the story and its beauty, and I was okay. as in, I was jumping up and down *victory dance*

I’m perfectly aware that I keep things from people and I know that it isn’t brave, but it’s how I handle things. When I told Braden, the world didn’t end. I felt brave for once. And that was kind of a relief.

its so beautiful (bawling)

So, again, I have GOT to dedicate at least a paragraph to the amazeballs support system on Dublin Street. UM YEAH, IM TALKIN ABOUT ELLIE 😉 that girl, *grins* oh, she was seriously the best. I think what I loved about her was that she had an innately kind heart, but then she could be this brutally honest, and sneaky one. HA! Adam. Take the jealousy, man. *smirks* 🙂 ANYWAYS, I loved Adam and Ellie’s little story on the side, because in my mind, it somewhat urged Joss to take everything she could with Braden as she saw Ellie suffering from the distance between her & Adam. And of course, sexual tension ALWAYS makes things better 😉

OH and the rest of Braden’s family? one thing. I WISH THEY WERE MY FAMILY. HAHA. They were all just so sweet and down-to earth. From Elodie’s kindness to the relationship Clark had with all of the kids *sigh* AND THEN there’s Hannah. Freaking Hannah. I wish I was as cool as her when I was her age 😉 Other than Ellie, she had to be my favorite family member. She cracked me up 🙂 The Carmichael family was one the best I’ve ever read about. They filled the gap in Joss’s life, that had torn her apart for so much of her life, and their brought some serious humor and happiness to the book 🙂 love them!

This novel was flawlessly written one. The words created visions in my head that made me do my happy dance, and I was sooooo freaking happy reading this one. It really was THAT good! On Dublin Street tells the story of a couple that, even through all their ups and downs, found their way back to each other, in the most romantic and perfectly fitting way ever.

5 DAMN BUTTERFLIES. no doubt about it 🙂

Seven days aboard a luxury cruise. The perfect getaway from it all.

At least, that’s what Georgia Cantwell was hoping for.
Georgia wishes she could run away from the nightmare that has consumed her life, but she can’t. With her inbox filling with menacing emails, all she can do is try to get through her sorority’s winter break cruise without anyone realizing how wrecked she is. So she really doesn’t need Jace McLaren seeing through her tacked-on smile when no one else seems to notice.

Growing up with a father in jail, Jace knows from experience that if you’re going through hell, there’s no way out but through. He has always steered away from girls like Georgia with her ice-queen attitude, but she’s in real trouble, and despite himself he pushes past her walls.

As much as Georgia tries to ignore it, Jace won’t let her pretend with him. But she can’t risk telling him the truth. Her past would ruin his trust, her family, her future—everything.

But out on the open ocean, there’s nowhere to hide. And when Georgia’s secrets come tumbling out, it might take more than Jace to save her.

AND NOW, for the Excerpt!!!

The club stops spinning for a moment. Jace’s mouth is soft, much softer than I’d have thought given the roughness of his jaw under my fingertips. He doesn’t move for a heartbeat, and it’s like we exist in a quiet bubble outside of this dance floor, outside of time.

But he pulls away from me. “What’s gotten into you?” He breathes, our mouths only inches apart. “I thought—”

I kiss him again. I need to forget about those emails, forget about my parents, forget about Hunter and Kelsey. I need to lose myself tonight, and Jace hooks up with lots of girls, so I’m sure he’ll know how to take my mind off of my problems. I’ve seen how he looks at me, so I know he’s interested. We’ll have some fun, and both get what we want.

My tongue traces along Jace’s mouth and then I gently bite his bottom lip, tugging it teasingly.

I dip my thumbs into the waistband of his jeans and feel the warm flesh of his stomach, so hard and smooth. I moan before I can stop myself.

Whatever I’m doing must be working, because Jace starts to kiss me back. His hands settle at my waist, trailing down toward my hips. Our kiss deepens and his tongue circles around mine, once, twice. Soft as a whisper. I’m lost in a rush of feeling, and I wrap my arms around his neck to draw him closer. I need him closer.

I push us toward the outskirts of the room.

The lights move dizzyingly in the dark, and the music throbs through my limbs. Jace and I reach an empty spot by the wall. Here, we’re hidden from the dance floor by a tall potted fern decorated with white twinkling lights. The tiny lights reflect in Jace’s eyes, which take me in hungrily.

His hands move over my tank top to the bare skin of my shoulders, and I shiver as heat spikes through my limbs. My own fingers roam across his skin again eagerly: his waist, his back, across his hard stomach that tightens at my touch… It has the temperature of a fever.

Jace dips his head to kiss my neck, and those dangerous lips make my whole body tingle. My thoughts go wild as I imagine him kissing down my belly, past my hips, and lower still. For a while we are a whirlwind, hot and spinning, and I haven’t felt so alive in months. Maybe years. I can’t help but think that it never felt like this with Hunter—this heat, this need. Not even when we first started dating.

I had no idea what I was missing.

And I don’t want it to stop.

HEHE. i do love me some teaser pictures 😉
